Youth Alpha celebration 19th November 2011

On the 19th November 2011, St Paul’s church Plaine Verte hosted the Alpha Celebration for Youth. The Youths were challenged to bring at least a friend to this special event. The celebration began with a welcome note by James Siew, the ELS Zone Supervisor, followed by a short session of Praise and Worship. The Praise and Worship time was indeed great as the youths were singing at the top of their voices and dancing joyfully for our Almighty God.

Afterwards, there were some games to break the ice and to know each other better. Indeed, the youths enjoyed themselves and cheerful faces could be seen. There were some who even had some good laughs. Then, Rev. Eric Ma Fat delivered a message in relation to the previous Youth Alpha lessons and some time was also dedicated to the testimonies from participants concerning the seven Alpha sessions which were held.

Finally came one important part of the event which was the award of the certificates to youths who completed the Alpha Course. The celebration then ended over a light meal comprising hot dogs and fruit juice which were prepared by the youths.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”  1 Tim 4:12
